Here are the steps to install the latest version of the 3270 terminal program supported by Information Services:
1. Click here to download the latest version of the software. Make a note of the location where you save the file.
2. Click the "Start" Button and select "Run".
3. Click "Browse" and navigate to the file you saved.
4. Click "Open" and then "OK". If a security warning dialog box appears, click "Run".
5. Click "Next" and accept the license agreement. Keep clicking "Next" until the program finishes installing.
6. Finally, click "Finish" to exit the installation.
7. Click on the QWS3270 Secure Icon on the desktop to start the program.
8. The New Session Wizard dialog will open, click "Next".
9. In the host name box, enter "uncsmvs.nebraska.edu" (don't include the quotes) and click "Next" three times.
10. Enter the name "uncsmvs" and click "Next".
11. Click "Finish" to exit the Wizard.
12. On the Connect windows, click "Edit".
13. The Session Options window will appear. Click on the Security option in the left pane.
14. For the SSL Version, click "Auto Select". The Minimum Cipher Strength should be changed to "40". Be sure to uncheck all of the Server Certificate Options.
15. After all changes have been made, click "Apply", then click "Ok".
The QWS3270 Secure software is now installed and configured.
